Day 84
First thing this morning while Mrs. Snowman was still waking up, she rolled over gave a pained little squeal and complained that her arm was hurting. Ever the concerned husband I enquired as to the extent of her pain.
“Oh dear, maybe you slept at an awkward angle; is it the top of your right arm?”
    “No”
“Ok, so it’s your left one then”
    “No, it’s the other one”
    Sometimes I despair.

I impart this little gem as an indication of the logic that I sometimes have to battle against. Mother-in-law is equally irrational so it’s not really surprising that I find myself in several ‘no win’ situations each day. The first of these predicaments arrived earlier than usual as I was grabbing myself some breakfast.
By this time Mrs. Snowman had already departed for work, leaving me with a list of minor errands to complete before her return. Mother-in-law added to the inventory by requesting I obtain a loaf of bread for her on my visit to the local store. I didn’t think this represented any sort of problem but asked the question just in case.
    “Brown or white?”
    “Neither thanks”
Oh brilliant. I’m not entirely sure what options that left me with…blue maybe?
I got her a pack of doughnuts and a bag of flour.

Less than two hours passed (having successfully completed most of the list) before I reached the last one.
    Feeding the cat.
Normally I wouldn’t dream of doing this but as I’m currently in Mrs. Snowman’s good books I see no reason to rock the boat. A tin is duly opened and just as I’m about to tip it into its bowl, it darted underneath the lid and tried to eat it before it’s all the way out. Rather than the contents reaching their intended destination, a large percentage landed on the cat and the immediate area of the kitchen floor.
Let me assure you, it livened up my day beyond belief to watch the cat race round in circles trying to lick chunks of food off its back. Eventually it solved the problem by rolling around on the living room rug, treading in it and making paw shaped prints of cat food throughout the house.

I haven’t been able to contact my prospective benefactor so have been unable to organize the first transfer of funds to my account so had to endure another freeroll.
Since moving from my original site to the new one, I’ve had absolutely no luck whatsoever and that continued into another day. Once more I managed to reach the last 200 before going up against the chip leader with pocket 7’s. I called a raise of three times the big blind and re-raised with two under cards on the board at the turn. Although there was a Jack on the river the last thing I expected to see was pocket 10’s facing me across the table and I found myself eliminated once again.
If we can organize transfers by tomorrow there should be better news.
    Hopefully.

Yesterday’s cat mystery has been solved by the way.
It spent yesterday happily curled up in a spare bedroom with the remainder of a roast chicken it stole from the kitchen. (The carcass was discovered earlier today).
This has proved something I’ve suspected for some time. It’s perfectly capable of remaining indoors for long periods of time without manufacturing large piles of poo. Admittedly, the bedroom window was slightly open so it may have found a route down, had a crap and then climbed back up like it was scaling the north face of the Eiger, so I can’t be completely sure on this point.
I can be certain that the animal is in extremely good health (although a little plumper after its illegal feast) as it darted out from behind a chair and bit me on the ankle while I was using the laptop earlier today.

I’m fast coming to the conclusion I must have done something really shitty in a previous life.
